Fatigue Risk Management

Our passion is providing customised, engaging and effective training packages to address fatigue-related risks and promote sleep health, tailored to suit the needs of your organisation or group. We specialise in flexible and accessible training – delivered on site, online or via train-the-trainer.

FMSSA’s training is always extremely well-received, with participants feeding back that the material was brought alive through the incorporation of relevant and impactful real-life case studies and examples.

General Fatigue Risk Management

This half-day interactive workshop is designed for those personnel requiring comprehensive training into fatigue risk management. This includes ‘high risk’ personnel like those individuals engaged in shiftwork or undertaking safety critical operations (including driving), managers and supervisors of high risk workers, and safety personnel.

The training package is aligned with nationally recognised Units of Competency and is designed to be both educational and practical. The aim is to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to understand and minimise fatigue, to identify the early warning signs of fatigue, and to implement appropriate controls. It also incorporates application of our SleepReadyTM program to improve sleep health and optimise sleep opportunities.

    Advanced Fatigue Risk Management

    for Senior Leaders

This module is designed for senior leaders, including supervisors and managers, to provide specialist training on roles and responsibilities relating to organisational fatigue risk management, workplace fatigue culture, identifying fatigue in others, and the processes and controls for the active management of fatigue-related risks, including relevant organisational policies and procedures.

This module provides rostering personnel with the knowledge and skills to develop and manage workplace rosters which minimise fatigue risks.

This module provides individuals with an understanding of the importance of healthy sleep, the effects of not sleeping well, including the risks associated with fatigue, practical strategies to optimise alertness at work, and application of our SleepReadyTM program.
